Your Classic Milestone Session

Thank you so much for booking a Classic Studio Milestone Session with me. These sessions are a great way to capture little ones as they grow. The props and poses are custom tailored keeping your babies current development in mind. Make sure that baby is rested, happy and fed upon arrival. Although we may have time for quick snacking, we keep these sessions short and sweet for those short attention spans. I work hard during these sessions to bring out your ones personality. If you feel as though there is an item that may help; a favorite toy, music, or stuffed animal, feel free to bring it with you.

What to Wear

During your babies milestone session, we typically have time for 3-4 looks. I do have a collection of timeless items as well as a large collection of headbands clients are welcome to pull from. I always suggest you bring a few options just incase style or sizing options don't work. Neutral colors and tones, soft patterns and textures photograph beautifully in the studio. Avoid bright neon colors and graphic tees. As always, make sure clothes are well fitting.

Items that work:

Rompers - dresses - bloomers - matching sets

denim - pants - overalls - sweaters - basic tees

Cake Smash time!

If you are planning to bring a cake smash to smash during your Classic Milestone Session, it's best to plan 2 looks before we get into it. This allows for enough time for clean up. I don't have a private sink in the studio. Bringing a remoistened towel or extra wipes can help with cleaning up your baby after.

Although most clients keep things simple, feel free to bring balloons, banners, flowers or themed item. It's always fun to get a little festive! I do suggest keeping cake and frosting colors simple and basic. Too many colors can mix and become muddy.

Your Classic Maternity Session

Thank you so much for booking a Maternity Session with me. These sessions capture such a special time in your life, and I am honored to be a part of it. I hope this guide will help answer some of your wardrobe questions and help you select the perfect items to wear during your session. I do have a collection of boho maternity gowns and bump friendly dresses available for my clients to use if they would like. Please reach out to me to arrange a try on day prior to you session if you would like!

What to Wear!

It is important that during your Maternity session you wear items that highlight your growing belly while still feeling true to your style. We usually have time for you to wear 2-3 looks. Try to select options that offer variety; one casual option and then one a bit more dressy. If shooting outdoors, you will be changing in your car or nature, so keep that in mind. Showing bare belly can be a beautiful option, but isn't necessary if you would prefer not to. Family Style Guide

Items that work:

Body con Dress - maxi Dress - wrap dress

bralette - crop top - blouse paired with jeans or a maxi skirt

cardigan- oversized dress shirt - kimono over a top or bralette

Don't forget details! Bring layering pieces to throw over. This can add depth to an outfit and be fun to play with during posing.

Items like hats or jewelry can be that perfect finishing touch.

Studio Ideas!

Studio Maternity Sessions will have the option of shooting against my classic studio backdrops as well as in the lifestyle rooms. Because of this, we have the option of styling these sessions with more of an intimate feel. How intimate is up to you! These sessions are less about the family unit, and more about the natural beauty of your growing belly. In addition to the above mentioned wardrobe ideas, items such as a matching bra and panty set, body suit, sheer night gown/ robe or even nude are all great options in the studio.
