As Mothers, we go through many seasons. Each and every one of them so special and amazing, but they aren’t without struggle. Let’s be honest, Motherhood is not for the weak. We often are so hard on ourselves. We struggle with every decision, goal and chore. It’s in these struggles that we often feel like we have failed. I am sure you have all had those days that you are counting down until bedtime!  After having my third baby, I had to learn to let go a little. There was no way that I could keep up with all of the laundry, meals, work, drop off and pick up. I was driving myself crazy feeling like I had failed at the end of every day. But in giving up a little, you know what I learned? That the kids are still happy! Because at the end of the day, it isn’t about how much laundry you got done, or if you hand made organic baby food for them. Sure those things are great, but if it doesn’t get done, don’t beat yourself up. Embrace the little things, the important things! Learn to let go of the other stuff (and stop beating yourself up about it).

 

Mommy and Me Photography Sessions are always so special for me! Watching a Mama with her little ones is so special. Being able to capture some of those moments makes these priceless. It’s these little moments that I mentioned above. The ones that are the most important. The way that a child looks at his Mama, and feels in her arms…It doesn’t matter if she has makeup on, still is carrying extra baby weight, or hasn’t showered in days! They love you for you! Mama’s, lets start loving ourselves too!
