For those of you that don’t know, I grew up in Monterey California. Yes, I know what you are saying…Why would you ever leave? I wonder this sometimes myself! That being said, I grew up minutes from the beach! Summers where spent with sand between our toes, collecting shells and beach glass, sun bathing until the sun went down. It was such an awesome town to grow up in!
As you can imagine, Vegas can have its challenges when it comes to pretty outdoor locations. Especially when you grew up in such a different place. Outdoor Newborn Photography has always interested me. There is something about them being so small in such a big world. And although I do love all of the Newborn Studio stuff, I love nature! When one of my amazing fellow Newborn Photographers, Susan Scott Photography, asked me to come out for a visit, I was super excited! Susan’s specialty is Outdoor Newborn Photography, and she’s awesome at it! It just so worked out, that one of my good high school friends lives in the same area and had just had an adorable baby girl!
So off I went to the Southern California! In the 2 days I was there, we photographed a total of 4 babies! 2 girls and twin boys! And….I loved every minute of it. I could go on and on about why, and, to be honest, I don’t know what it was. I think it might have been something about being back on the beach! The light was amazing! I wish I lived closer and could photograph there every day!
Coming home from this trip, I felt so inspired. As the weather begins to warm up here in Las Vegas, I would love to do some Outdoor Newborn Sessions! Although we may not have ocean, there are so many pretty things that the desert has to offer! Thanks again to Susan for inviting me, and for all the families of the babies we photographed for allowing us to photograph your sweet little ones!
