As a Mother, I always have a camera close at hand. Wether it is my iPhone, or a standard camera, I always am ready! Silly faces, first steps, or just being too cute, I take hundreds of images a day of my little ones. About a month ago, my phone warned me that I was out of space….wait, out of space. Oh, My, Gosh, what am I going to do. What if I miss something, I HAVE to be able to take pictures! So, I spent about 30 minutes scrolling through my pictures hoping to find some stuff I could delete. You know the oops selfie’s! Through it all, I realized, My youngest is almost 6 months. And there is maybe 2 pictures of me and her together. It made me tear up…Sure, I take pictures of the kids doing cute things with dad, or each other, but who does that for me? Don’t get me wrong, I am sure that there are some Dad’s out there that are camera happy, but like mine, some aren’t.

This is something that HAS to change. We need to be present in front of the camera not for us, but for our kids. Our kids NEED to have moments captured that they can look back on and see us. I know sometime we use the excuse that we haven’t showered in days, aren’t dressed, or that we have extra baby weight still…Well, our kids don’t care.

In an attempt to make a change, I am offering Simply Mommy and Me sessions! After doing a couple, they are a new favorite! Cuddling, nursing, or being silly, they are so special! I hope you enjoy looking through this gallery just as much as I enjoyed capturing them. And if nothing else, I hope that this post encouraged you to step out from behind that camera, and be present in pictures too!
